Midfielder reveals frustration at injury-plagued season

David Edwards is hoping to return from a back injury to be available for the final six games of Wolves' battle to stay in the Premier League. The midfielder has been ruled out until next month with a back problem and Edwards has endured an injury-plagued campaign. He will miss Wales' Euro 2012 qualifier against England later this month, but could be ready to make his comeback in Wolves' game with Everton on 9th April. Edwards, previously out of action with thigh and hamstring problems, said: "It's been a nightmare time with injuries and this back problem is another frustrating setback.

Weakness

"I'd got back into the team and did OK in the 4-0 win over Blackpool and then this problem came from nowhere. "It was decided to have a scan, particularly as my dad and brother have previously suffered from back trouble. "There may be a weakness in the family and what came back supported that theory, and it's just disappointing." Edwards added: "I've got another scan in three weeks and if there's an improvement and everything has repaired, then I can head back to training. "That would be about the start of April and, if all was well, I could be fit for the last five or six games. "But if there is no improvement, then it will be a different timescale."
