Celtic manager Neil Lennon is facing a four-match ban while Rangers assistant Ally McCoist must miss two games.
The pair have been sanctioned after clashing at the end of the ill-tempered Scottish Cup fifth-round replay at Parkhead last Wednesday.
Lennon's punishment is more severe as he triggered an automatic touchline ban due to a previous charge of misconduct.
The SFA confirmed on Thursday that Lennon has again been charged with misconduct along with McCoist, who will succeed Walter Smith as Rangers manager in the summer.
Gers had Steven Whittaker and Madjid Bougherra sent off late in each half while El-Hadji Diouf was shown a red card after the final whistle.
And Bougherra and Diouf have been reported to the SFA's disciplinary committee for "misconduct of a significantly serious nature".
Celtic won the game 1-0 to book a quarter-final trip to Inverness on Sunday.
