Peterborough have signed striker Paul Taylor on an 18-month contract after a successful trial with the club.
The 23-year-old, handed a six-month drugs ban by the Football Association while playing for Chester in 2008, has most recently played in Belgium for Anderlecht.
Posh boss Darren Ferguson told the club's official website: "He's a good age. He's had one or two problems off the pitch, but we're prepared to take chance on him.
"He's not one that too many people will have heard of, but he's trained well with us and played in a trial game and was the best player on the pitch.
"We won't be rushing him as his fitness is nowhere near at the minute, but he's plenty of potential and we need to fulfil that potential together."
