On-loan goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi thinks that Wigan need to make the DW Stadium a fortress between now and the end of the season in order to avoid relegation.
Roberto Martinez's side are currently propping up the Premier League after their 4-0 home hammering against Manchester United and West Ham's win over Liverpool this weekend.
But Wigan, who have an inferior goal difference to their rivals, are only one point from safety and Al Habsi thinks DW Stadium form will prove crucial.
Fellow strugglers Birmingham and West Ham are due to visit the North West before the end of the season, with Tottenham and Everton sandwiched in between.
Al Habsi said in The Sun: "We have four remaining home games and if we can get the results we need from them it would go a long way to ensuring safety.
"We have got experience of being in this position in the past and we need to use that now to start moving away from the relegation zone."
