Joe Ledley is hopeful Celtic can hang on to Emilio Izaguirre after comparing his team-mate to Tottenham Hotspur ace Gareth Bale.
Izaguirre has impressed at Parkhead since joining the SPL leaders last summer and the left-back has been linked with several leading English Premier League clubs.
Bhoys midfielder Ledley has praised the impact of Izaguirre and has noticed similarities between the Honduran and his Wales international team-mate Bale.
"They are similar," said Ledley. "I have played with both of them and both have qualities.
"Gareth Bale is one of the best players in the world at the moment.
"Emilio is quick, good on the ball, has composure and has a good cross in him.
"It's great to have him at the club and hopefully we can keep him."
Ledley believes 19-year-old Cardiff full-back Adam Matthews, who has signed a pre-contract to join Celtic in the summer, will be a good addition to the Parkhead squad.
"I played with him at Cardiff," Ledley said.
"He's a great young player and was linked with a lot of clubs last season. He will be a great player for the squad."
