Aussie striker makes move to McDiarmid Park

St Johnstone have confirmed the signing of striker Danny Invincibile on a free transfer. The Australian forward was released by Kilmarnock following the expiration of his contract in January and has signed until the end of the season. Saints boss Derek McInnes has been in the market for a striker since Sam Parkin's broken ankle left him short of options up front. The 31-year-old, who was at Swindon for five years prior to his move to Scotland with Killie in 2003, is someone McInnes sees as having the experience to help his side until the end of the current campaign.

Light

McInnes said: "We've had some injuries at the top end of the pitch where we were a wee bit light. "I've brought Danny in, he's got the experience in the league which is important. "He's a player who has not had a lot of football this year, but hopefully we'll get the benefit of that." Invincibile could make his Saints debut in Sunday's SPL clash with Rangers.
