Peter Odemwingie is confident West Bromwich Albion possess the character to secure Premier League survival this season.
The Baggies sit one point outside the relegation zone following a run of just one win in their last 11 matches.
Roy Hodgson has also replaced Roberto Di Matteo as manager as West Brom look to stave off an immediate return to the Championship.
But leading scorer Odemwingie is feeling positive ahead of the run-in and believes the squad have the requisite qualities to remain outside the bottom three.
Odemwingie said: "I believe that this is a team that does better under pressure, like when we got the good results earlier in the season, like when we fought back against Wigan and Blackpool.
"I think then we show our character and this is what we will need in these big games coming up now.
"Now is the time when we have to be very focused. We must not have any doubt in ourselves or in our abilities and then maybe we can get the job done.
"It is a big chance for us in this period - and we must try to take it."
