Bayern Munich have been handed a lift with the news striker Mario Gomez and goalkeeper Thomas Kraft are fit to face Inter Milan.

Doubts surrounded the duo's participation in the UEFA Champions League last 16 tie after they picked up injuries in the German giants' 3-1 victory over Mainz on Saturday.

But the pair have both been declared fit for Wednesday's clash at Giuseppe Meazza, which is a repeat of the 2010 final in which Inter beat Bayern 2-0.

Gomez, who has scored 27 goals to become the Bundesliga's top scorer this season, as well as six in Europe, insists he has recovered from an ankle knock.

He said: "My ankle is not swollen and there shouldn't be a problem for me to play."

Shot-stopper Kraft, meanwhile, reported he was not feeling any "ill effects" from Saturday's game after clashing with a Mainz player.
