Ivorian fit to face Bolton

Newcastle have revealed that midfielder Cheick Tiote has suffered a minor hand injury but will be fit for the game with Bolton next weekend. The 24-year-old Ivory Coast international has been a revelation in the Premier League for the Magpies this season, most notably scoring a stunning last-gasp volley to earn his side a memorable comeback draw against Arsenal. Tiote picked up the problem during the victory over Birmingham in midweek but is expected to play against the Trotters in the next game. A statement on Newcastle's official website said: "Magpies midfielder Cheick Tiote injured his hand in the 2-0 win at Birmingham last Tuesday - but will be fit for United's game against Bolton next Saturday. "A scan has revealed a small fracture in the Ivorian enforcer's hand, but it will not keep him out of the Trotters fixture." Tiote has made 21 appearances for the Magpies this term following his move from Dutch champions FC Twente.
