Barca star wants to play alongside Gunners skipper
Lionel Messi has confessed he would love to play alongside Cesc Fabregas in Barcelona colours.
The Argentina international is still coming to terms with the catalan giants' 2-1 UEFA Champions League defeat against Arsenal on Wednesday night.
However, not only is the 23-year-old determined to redress the balance when Arsene Wenger's side travel to the Camp Nou in the return leg on 8th March, he would also like to play alongside the Gunners skipper.
Messi told
Sport: "Cesc Fabregas is a key player for Arsenal and I really want to play with him at Barcelona but that doesn't depend on me.
"In the end he will do what he wants and what the people at Barca want. But I think his inclination is to be at Barcelona because there is nowhere he will be better off than here."
Relaxed
Although Messi admits the defeat in London damaged the morale in the Barca dressing room, he is confident his side will eventually prevail.
"It hurt to lose (on Wednesday) because we didn't deserve to," he said.
"In the first half we played really well for a lot of the time, moving the ball around quickly - it's a shame we didn't win.
"But we are relaxed because we know we can turn this around - we only have to overcome a one-goal deficit.
"It doesn't matter how we do it. Whether it's with my goals or not, the most important thing is to go through.
"We have to play in the same way and if we play like we did in the first half
(at the Emirates), we will have a great chance of going through.
"Let's hope I can produce another great match and that we can go through."
