The Switzerland international has been linked with a number of clubs across Europe after catching the eye with his consistent performances in Serie A.

Inler's agent Dino Lamberti claimed this week to be unaware of reported interest from Manchester City, but it is thought there is no shortage of Premier League admirers.

Italian rivals Napoli are rumoured to be leading the chase, though, and the pursuit could gather pace at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old maintains that he has given no thought to his future and is concentrating solely on playing as well as he can for Udinese.

Having arrived at the club in 2007, Inler is grateful for everything they have done for him and is full of praise for boss Francesco Guidolin.

"Since last summer there have been rumours of me going to Napoli, but until June for me there is only Udinese," Inler told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Four wonderful years

"I want to get as high as possible with this team. I'm very focused on my work and I have not signed anything with anyone.

"When an opportunity arrives we'll see. My agent (Dino) Lamberti does everything and I trust in him fully.

"I have spent four wonderful years in Udine. The people are similar to that of Switzerland, they leave you calm.

"With (former coach, Pasquale) Marino I grew up, and with Guidolin I am completed."

Inler also indicated that if he were to leave Udinese he would stay in Italy as it is his favourite league.

He added: "Which championship do I prefer? I watch everything on TV: Liga, Premier League, Bundesliga, Swiss league.

"But I choose the Italian Serie A. It's tough in every game and you cannot give up."
