Yoann Gouffran looks set to miss the remainder of the season after breaking his right ankle.
The Bordeaux winger sustained the injury in Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to Caen.
The 24-year-old is expected to be sidelined for several months, taking him through to the closing stages of the campaign.
The Ligue 1 season is set to end on 29th May, making it unlikely that Gouffran will figure again.
He has already undergone surgery on the break, with the operation deemed to be a success.
Bordeaux, though, have confirmed that he will be out 'for a period of three months' and are not expecting to welcome him back into their fold this term.
Gouffran's season comes to a close after 21 appearances, during which he scored two goals.
