Franck Ribery insists former France coach Raymond Domenech should have spoken to the players about their World Cup mutiny, and not to the media months later.
Les Bleus' squad refused to train at the tournament last summer after striker Nicolas Anelka was sent home following a heated disagreement with the coach.
Domenech, who was replaced by Laurent Blanc at the helm after France crashed out in the first round in South Africa, branded his side 'horrible unthinking brats' this week, eight months on from the controversy.
And 27-year-old Bayern Munich winger Ribery, who has recently returned to fitness after an injury-hit season, feels Domenech has dealt with the situation in entirely the wrong way.

"I don't know why he says these things. I find it a shame," Ribery told
L'Equipe.
"The World Cup has gone, I don't want to talk about Domenech any more.
"I am very motivated to get back in the France team with a new staff and new coach. In South Africa Domenech didn't talk to us.
"He should have done it immediately, not only now. He should have said it to our face, it's not good."
