Hearts have been handed a boost with the news striker Kevin Kyle will not need an operation on his injured groin.
The Jambos' top scorer has been sidelined for more than a month, during which time he has begun a course of injections.
And Hearts boss Jim Jefferies has revealed they will continue on the same path rather than sending the Scotland international for surgery.
"We've ruled out the operation at this stage," Jefferies told the club's official website.
"The feeling is that a series of injections will help towards his recovery.
"He will be struggling for the next couple of games but we're hoping to get him back as quickly as we can.
"If we can get away with these injections then we will hopefully avoid surgery. He's already had the first one and he has two or three more to get."
