Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers has confirmed his interest in bringing Ipswich striker Jason Scotland back to the club.
Scotland has fallen out of favour at Portman Road since Paul Jewell took charge and admitted this week that he would be keen to move back to the Swans - where he scored 53 times in two seasons.
Rodgers has revealed the club have held talks with Ipswich over a possible loan deal and that they are waiting to hear back from their Championship rivals.
"I have had a conversation with Paul Jewell and our chairman has had a chat with their chief executive Simon Clegg," Rodgers told the Evening Post.
"There is a deal there to be done, and we have put a proposal to them.
"We are now waiting to hear back from them to see what they think.
"We hope we can come to an agreement because Jason is a player who has proved himself capable of scoring goals at this level and for this club."
