Toulouse defender Mauro Cetto is weighing up a contract offer, but admits he could be tempted to move on.
The 28-year-old will see his current deal expire in the summer, meaning he could walk away as a free agent.
Toulouse are keen to avoid that scenario and have already put fresh terms on the table.
Club chairman Olivier Sadran is hoping Cetto will sign, but accepts the centre-half has other issues to consider.
He said: "We made him an offer which we believe is attractive. Mauro is thinking about it and that seems logical to me.
"I would really like him to stay, but we are in no rush."
Argentinian Cetto is no hurry to put pen to paper either, revealing that he has not ruled out the prospect of securing a move away from France.
He told L'Equipe: "I know what I have at Toulouse. I am playing and I have a great relationship with everyone, but there is a desire to discover a new league.
"I have told my agent not to call me without a very good reason. I am reaching the end of my contract and I know that can be an advantage.
"I am not saying that the Toulouse proposal is not exciting, but I believe I could get more elsewhere. We will see."
