Gokhan Inler's agent claims to be unaware of reported interest in his client from Manchester City.
The Udinese midfielder has drawn admiring glances from England for some years now, with Arsenal having been strongly linked with a move in the past.
Rumours of an impending switch to the Premier League have now resurfaced, with City believed to be keen to add Inler's steel to their ranks.
Serie A giants Napoli are also believed to be keen, but the Switzerland international's representative insists there is no deal in the pipeline.
"Inler to Manchester City? I know nothing about that," Dino Lamberti told udineseblog.it.
"It is easy to make that assumption because I work for the daughter of the City president and I often go to Dubai. But this is just speculation.
"Napoli? Such talk is also premature. I have never spoken with officials at Napoli.
"I know there has been some talk between the two clubs, but nothing has been put in place.
"We have to consider Udinese's position in all of this. If they end the season positively then many things could change, including the asking price."
