Chelsea's Spanish international forward Fernando Torres says he does not believe Sergio Aguero would swap Atletico Madrid for city rivals Real Madrid.
Atletico claim Real approached them about Argentina international forward Aguero.
But former Atletico favourite Torres does not expect the 22-year-old to make the controversial move to foes Real.
"It is normal that a team would be interested in a player such as Kun (Aguero), however, I don't think he will leave (for Real Madrid)," Torres said at Spain's training camp in Las Rozas, Madrid.
"It would be strange (for him to join Real) but it his decision. It is complicated because when you are at Atletico the fans show you what the club means.
"Kun is a great player and when things don't go well he dreams of the big clubs."
Aguero has hinted at leaving Atletico on more than one occasion but recently said he would make the decision on his future rather than the club.
Atletico are languishing down in eighth place in the Spanish Primera Liga and Torres admits it is difficult for the club to improve on last season when they won the Europa League and reached the Copa del Rey final.
"The current squad is competitive and they have a great coach (Quique Sanchez Flores), but it isn't always that simple," said Torres.
"It is difficult to move forward when you have bad results.
"Last season was a great year and we knew it would be some time before it was repeated."
