Wolves hero George Elokobi has hailed the win over Manchester United as the best moment of his career.
Elokobi produced a man-of-the-match performance to inspire Wolves to come from behind to secure a famous 2-1 win over league leaders Manchester United at Molineux.
The victory ended United's 29-match unbeaten record in the Premier League and Elokobi admits the win was vital for Wolves' chances of staying up this season.
"It is one of the biggest and proudest moments of my career, if not the biggest and proudest moment of my career the victory over Manchester United," Elokobi told skysports.com.
"It was a very important win for us to stay in touch with the sides around us at the bottom of the table and to score again was the icing on the cake."
ClaimingThere was some confusion over who scored Wolves' winning goal with Kevin Doyle claiming it along with Elokobi, but the Cameroon-born defender is adamant the goal is his and he is claiming both goals against United.
"I am saying I got the two goals as I got the last touch on the second goal," added Elokobi.
"Kevin Doyle has tried to take it away from me and there has been a bit of banter between myself and Kevin over the goal.
"But we will look at all the cameras from every angle and it will show I had the final touch and I will be awarded the goal at the end of the season."
Elokobi is establishing himself as something of a cult hero at Wolves with his all-action displays and the 25-year-old has hailed the support he has received from the Wolves faithful.
"The fans have been brilliant and they have taken to me from the first day I arrived," continued Elokobi.
Passionate"They are passionate fans and they can see I am a passionate player in that I put everything into my performances for the team.
"They could see how passionate I am from my reaction when I scored and in the celebrations in the end as we had just beaten one of the best teams in the world and the best team in the league."
