Chris Brunt claims West Brom cannot rely on striker Carlos Vela to save their season.
The Baggies skipper insists it would be wrong to expect the Arsenal striker to come in and keep the club in the Premier League.
The Mexico international, 21, has arrived on loan at The Hawthorns for the rest of the season as Roberto Di Matteo's only January signing.
And Brunt said: "You cannot just expect Carlos to come in and keep us in the Premier League - that's down to every single one of us.
"We've seen from his time at Arsenal that he's a good finisher.
"But it's important not to put too much expectation on him."
