Neil Danns insists he has not rejected a new contract at Crystal Palace, but is happy to wait before making a decision on his future.
The midfielder's current deal expires at the end of the season and Palace rejected two bids for the 28-year-old on transfer deadline day.
Hull City and Leeds United had been linked with Danns, who has scored six goals this season and made his 100th appearance for the club in midweek.
Danns has spoken to co-chairman Steve Parish about his situation, but wants to focus on Palace's battle to stay in the Championship.
Not panic stations
"I've got to think about my personal situation in terms of my family and stuff, but we're still negotiating and there's still a long way to go in the season so it's not like we're at panic stations," Danns told the Croydon Advertiser.
"I can speak to Steve on a one-to-one basis, he's not a chairman who you never see. If I've got any qualms or he has any qualms we're both man enough to pick up the phone and speak to each other about it.
"Hopefully the club is going to be in this division at the end of the season, and I definitely haven't rejected a contract, I haven't turned anything down yet.
"I'm just concentrating on playing my football and trying to help keep Palace in the division.
"You hear the speculation and see the stuff in the newspapers but I knew no one had come in for me and I knew I wasn't leaving Palace.
"I didn't hear anything at all [on Monday]. It was just another normal day for me."
