The 21-year-old is currently without a club after being released by the Red Devils last summer, but is stepping up his recovery from injury with physio Mick Rathbone at Deepdale.

Brown hinted that he could be interested in taking the player on a permanent deal, but nothing has been decided yet.

Promising

Despite being a promising graduate from United's academy and enjoying several successful loan spells in the Football League, injuries have blighted Brandy's progress this term, and he failed to win a contract following a trial at Leicester in January.

"'Basil' (Rathbone) brought it to my attention that Febian had been training with him on a three or four-week basis," he told PNE Player.

"He had been to Leicester on a trial period, but Leicester had five, six or seven strikers to choose from. Obviously there was no room for him there.

"I need to speak to his agent and we will see where that takes us."
