Aaron Doran is hoping for another crack at Blackburn Rovers' first team after joining Inverness for the remainder of the season.
The 19-year-old Dubliner was given a run by Blackburn early in the campaign, but a host of returning stars curtailed his appearances.
Doran has now decided to spend the rest of the season in Scotland accruing first-team experience and he hopes to return to Ewood Park an improved player.
"I was involved at Blackburn for the first five games of the season," said Doran.
"But then a few players came back from injury and I wasn't getting a start so when I heard Inverness might be interested I said yes straight away.
"It's hard for young players at Blackburn and I know the new owners were going to splash the money.
"But hopefully I'll do well here and get my chance next season."
