David Luiz has admitted it is a dream come true to sign for Chelsea after meeting his new team-mates on Wednesday.
The defending champions made a £21million swoop for the Brazilian defender on Monday and he arrived in London on Tuesday.
The former Benfica centre-back, 23, made his first visit to the Blues' Cobham training ground on Wednesday.
"I am very happy to come here," he told the club's official website.
"This is a complete dream to come to Chelsea, and it's an important step in any player's life to come here.
Plenty to prove
"Now I need to make it my job to show everybody why the club wanted me to come here."
Luiz, who has so far won four caps for Brazil, had a light session with Chelsea's fitness coach Chris Jones before chatting with his new colleagues, including manager Carlo Ancelotti and former Benfica team-mate Ramires.
He is expected to train with the rest of the first-team squad on Thursday and is set to make his debut in Sunday's home game against Liverpool, along with fellow deadline-day signing Fernando Torres.
"The training ground is amazing, it is an excellent facility and gives you everything you need to play football," Luiz added.
"Everybody does everything they can to help organise the players and let them just play football."
Torres also met his new team-mates for the first time on Wednesday having had a light session on his own on Tuesday.
