Blackpool have clinched the signing of James Beattie on loan from Rangers until the end of the season, the SPL giants have confirmed.
It emerged earlier on Monday that the former England striker had linked up with the Seasiders for a medical.
And Blackpool have now finalised the transfer ahead of the deadline to further strengthen their squad for the second half of the season.
Andy Reid has already arrived from Sunderland, while a deal for Zenit St Petersburg striker Sergei Kornilenko is also thought to be close.
Manager Ian Holloway will be delighted to secure the services of Beattie, who has a wealth of experience in the English game.
He enjoyed spells with Southampton, Everton and Sheffield United earlier in his career before moving to Stoke in 2009.
Beattie's time at the Britannia Stadium came to an end last summer when he joined Rangers on a two-year deal, but opportunities have proved hard to come by at Ibrox.
