Poyet sure of Bennett stay

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Gus Poyet does not expect Elliott Bennett to leave the League One club on deadline day.

The winger handed in a transfer request late last week after Norwich had a bid turned down, but chairman Tony Bloom responded by saying he was not for sale. And Poyet said: "The statement from the chairman was clear so from that moment I have had no doubts. "It is the last day and you never rule anything out, but I will be happy if nothing happens." Meanwhile, young Seagulls defender Lewis Dunk has signed a new contract taking him to the summer of 2013.
