Derby County have snapped up Liverpool defender Daniel Ayala on loan for the remainder of the season.
Rams boss Nigel Clough revealed his interest in signing the Spaniard last week and has now finalised a move before the close of the transfer window.
Ayala had spent three months on loan at Hull City earlier in the season and he scored in the Tigers' 2-0 home win over Derby.
However, he picked up a hamstring injury which led to former Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson criticising Hull for not sending the youngster back to Anfield sooner.
The Tigers had shown an interest in re-signing Ayala, but the centre-half has now sealed a move to Pride Park.
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish said: "Daniel Ayala will be going to Derby on loan, which will be fantastic for him - a great experience and he will get him some games as well after his recent injury."
Depending on his fitness, Ayala could be involved in Tuesday night's Championship game when Derby face former manager Paul Jewell's Ipswich Town.
