Sky Sports News understands that Stoke City striker Tuncay is having a medical with Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg.
The Turkish marksman has failed to hold down regular first-team football at Stoke following his £5million move from Middlesbrough in 2009.
The bulk of his 14 Premier League appearances have come off the bench this season - scoring once in league action, although Wolfsburg boss Steve McClaren remains a huge fan.
Former England boss McClaren is in the market for a new striker and has money to spend following Edin Dzeko's big-money move to Manchester City earlier this month.
Stoke boss Tony Pulis confirmed a bid had been lodged for the 29-year-old on Sunday and now it seems he will join Wolfsburg before the transfer window closes.
