Rosenborg midfielder Anthony Annan has joined Bundesliga side Schalke for two million euros.
The 24-year-old has been drafted in by the German side as a replacement for Ivan Rakitic who joined Sevilla on Friday.
Annan was part of the Ghana team that reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup last year, and had previously been linked with moves to the Premier League.
The midfielder won the Norwegian league title with IK Start in 2007 before he joined Rosenborg where he has continually impressed.
