Preston have signed Queens Park Rangers striker Leon Clarke on loan until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old only moved to Loftus Road last summer, leaving Sheffield Wednesday as a free agent.
He has, however, struggled for games under Neil Warnock, starting just four matches this season.
Clarke is now looking forward to getting some minutes under his belt at Deepdale and hopes he can help to lift Phil Brown's side off the foot of the Championship table.
"When I spoke to my agent and the opportunity arose to come here, I was really excited and I jumped at the chance," he told PNE Player.
"When I was at Sheffield Wednesday, I was in a relegation fight as well; this is like the same scenario.
"There were no qualms about coming here, I jumped at the chance and I am prepared to roll my sleeves up with the rest of the lads and get stuck in, which we know we will have to do to grind out some results."
