Lee Miller hopes his move to Scunthorpe reignites his career that stalled at Middlesbrough.
The 28-year-old striker has moved to Glanford Park on loan until the end of the season and is intent on rediscovering his killer touch.
Miller had been ready to depart the Riverside Stadium this month but admits the move to Scunthorpe caught him off guard.
"I heard through my agent that Scunthorpe were keen to take me on-loan for the rest of the season. I'm delighted to be here," he told the club's official website.
"I travelled down this morning from Middlesbrough so I'm eligible to play against Preston on Saturday, which I'm looking forward to.
"The move came quite suddenly I had been waiting around all January for something to happen and I'm glad it finally has.
"I have not had many a lot of chances in the Championship to be honest with Middlesbrough, so hopefully fingers crossed I can work my way into this team and make a contribution.
"It's been very frustrating at Middlesbrough, I felt I did well in training and when I played in the reserves but I just didn't get given the chances that I wanted."
