Rangers manager Walter Smith has played down rumours claiming that goalkeeper Allan McGregor could be on his way to Arsenal.
McGregor has long been linked with a move to the English Premier League after impressing between the posts for Rangers in recent seasons.
Aston Villa confirmed an interest in the Scotland international before Christmas, while Arsenal and Manchester United have regularly been linked with bids.
Reports claimed that Gunners scouts were in the stands at Easter Road on Wednesday evening as McGregor kept a clean sheet in Rangers' 2-0 win at Hibernian.
However, Smith has insisted there has been no contact with Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger and is reading nothing in to the fact scouts were at the Hibs win.
Smith said: "How do you know they were watching him? There are probably about 20 scouts here tonight so how do you know they were watching Allan McGregor? Were they all watching him?
"We have 20 scouts at every home game, it's a natural thing that they come to football matches.
"I'm sure Arsene would have phoned me if he was wanting to take him and you will be the first to know if he gets in touch!"
