Benfica coach Jorge Jesus claims there are clubs other than Chelsea interested in David Luiz.
The Portuguese giants called off negotiations on Wednesday, as the two clubs failed to finalise the matter having agreed the deal in principle earlier in the week.
Indeed Benfica played Luiz for 90 minutes in the Portuguese cup match with Rio Ave on Wednesday.
However, it is still widely expected that Luiz will be on his way to Chelsea in the next 48 hours.
It is believed that how the near €30million deal would be paid has been the main stumbling block, with Portuguese sources now claiming that the Blues will pay an initial €20million in one payment to get the move done.
Despite talks continuing, Jesus fired a shot across Chelsea's bows by insisting there was rival interest in the 23-year-old.
"There are several clubs interested, but still nothing on the table," he said.
"He played normally without taking risks and played a great game."
Portuguese reports claim Luiz is very keen to see the deal finalised and will soon go public on his desire to move unless the transfer is done in the coming days.
