AC persistent in pursuit of player

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi insists AC Milan target Domenico Criscito will not leave until the summer. The Serie A side, who sit five points off the relegation zone, have been inundated with requests for the player from league leaders Milan. The 24-year-old left-back has made 20 appearances for Genoa this term, capturing the eye of the Milan giants. However, Preziosi is adamant that his hottest commodity will not be leaving the club during the January window, with Genoa not giving up hope of convincing the player to stay in the summer. "[AC Milan vice-president Adriano] Galliani calls me every day," said Preziosi. "He called me this morning and he will probably call me tomorrow. We are friends but I told him not to put me in a difficult position because Criscito will not move at least until June. "In June, we will evaluate the situation although my hope is to keep the player also for next season."
