Barnsley have finalised the signing of Matt Hill on a contract until the end of the season following the defender's departure from Wolves.
Hill recently completed a loan spell at Oakwell and had his deal at Wolves cancelled by mutual consent at the start of the week.
Skysports.com revealed last week that the Tykes were keen to snap up the left-back on a permanent basis and the 29-year-old has now linked up with Mark Robins' side again.
He was signed in time to feature in Barnsley's 2-0 win at local rivals Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday and becomes Robins' third signing of the transfer window.
Robins had previously strengthened his squad with the captures of Garry O'Connor and Danny Haynes, who grabbed both goals in the win at Doncaster.
