Skysports.com understands Ipswich are closing in on the signing of Luton Town midfielder Andy Drury.
A number of clubs have been tracking the 27-year-old, but Ipswich are hoping to steal a march on their rivals by luring him to Portman Road.
New Town boss Paul Jewell has revealed he has made bids for two players and Drury is thought to be one of the mystery targets.
Drury has popped up with eight goals from midfield this season, including two in the FA Cup clash with Charlton earlier this term and Luton are resigned to the fact of losing their prize asset.
Ipswich are thought to be in advanced talks with Luton and are hoping to tie up a deal for the former Stevenage man before the transfer window slams shut next week.
