Sven Goran Eriksson is set for further deals in the transfer window as the Leicester owners continue to back him.
The former England boss has signed the likes of Darius Vassell and Sol Bamba, while loan moves for Everton striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Manchester City youngster Ben Mee have also been sanctioned.
And having led the Foxes into play-off contention, Eriksson could act again in the transfer window as he aims to maintain their momentum heading into the run-in.
"Taking in the players we have taken lately costs a lot of money but the owners are willing to support me," said Eriksson.
The Swedish boss has reportedly set his sights on making Chelsea's Patrick van Aanholt his next signing.
The 20-year-old left-back has also interested Championship rivals Swansea and Nottingham Forest but Leicester are believed to be leading the race for the Holland Under-21 international as they are willing to pay a large proportion of Van Aanholt's wages.
However, any deal could be scuppered by David Luiz's potential move to Chelsea.
The Premier League champions are still trying to agree a fee for the Benfica defender and have offered a cash-plus-player deal.
Benfica want £21.5million plus one of Chelsea's youngsters such as Van Aanholt or Jeffrey Bruma, but the Blues are only willing to let them go on loan, not permanently.
