Real Zaragoza have beaten a number of clubs to the signature of St Etienne midfielder Guirane N'Daw.
Reports had suggested that the Senegal international was destined to make a move to England, with Wolves believed to be among those leading the hunt.
Mick McCarthy was understood to be closing in on the 26-year-old, with a trial period at Molineux set to be arranged.
Zaragoza have beaten Wolves to the punch, though, by completing a permanent deal without the need for a trial to undertaken.
The Primera Liga outfit have confirmed the switch on their official website, revealing that N'Daw is set to be officially unveiled at La Romareda on Monday evening.
The move sees N'Daw leave France for the first time in his career, with spells at Sochaux, Nantes and St Etienne having brought him to this point.
