West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo felt aggrieved that his side were not awarded what looked a cast-iron penalty against Blackburn.

Rovers debutant Jermaine Jones brought down Peter Odemwingie inside the penalty box.

However, referee Mark Clattenburg gave the Baggies a free-kick on the edge of the area much to the dismay of the Baggies boss.

"Yeah absolutely, it was quite clear from where I was standing that the foul was inside [the box]," the Italian told Sky Sports 1.

He added: "Before we conceded the first I thought we defended quite well, we were quite solid.

"At 1-0 down at half-time we were still in the game, but the way we came out in the second half was very disappointing."
