Skysports.com understands Tom Cairney is poised to pen a new contract at Hull City.
The 20-year-old midfielder has been with the Tigers since 2007, graduating out of their academy system to become a first-team regular.
His ongoing development has been noted by the club and they are prepared to talk figures once more.
It is less than 12 months since Cairney signed an improved three-year deal with Hull, ending any uncertainty regarding his long-term future.
Up until that point it had been feared that he could be lured away from the KC Stadium, with his potential quickly spotted elsewhere.
The Scotland U21 international has always insisted that he is happy to stick with the Tigers, though, and could now be rewarded with further fresh terms.
