Cardiff boss Dave Jones insists he will not be selling Jay Bothroyd or any of his key players this month as he plots a push to the Premier League.
Bothroyd, who is out of contract in the summer, has been linked with a transfer switch to Newcastle United.
The hot-shot, who has netted 13 Championship goals for the high-fliers this term, has previously insisted he is "really happy" at the Bluebirds.
And boss Jones says the 28-year-old, who has returned to training following a hamstring problem, is going nowhere as he seeks to guide his third-placed side to the promised land of the Premier League.
The Cardiff boss told the South Wales Echo: "We'll have Jay back next week against Watford at home and that's great for the team.
"We will not be selling any of our key players.
"Jay has been offered a new contract. That's all we can do.
"It's his decision whether to accept it, but he is under contract for the rest of this season."
