The Spaniard admits he may look to bring in new recruits during the winter window, but only if he feels fresh faces are necessary.

With the Latics' injury list easing slightly, Martinez is set to welcome key men back into the fold over the coming weeks.

The likes of James McCarthy, Victor Moses and Franco Di Santo are all closing on first-team returns, and will bring fresh legs and youthful exuberance to the side.

Mature

Martinez admits that if that trio are able to recapture their best shortly after returning to action, then there will be no need for him to splash the cash.

"We're a young squad but becoming more mature," he said following Saturday's 1-1 draw with Fulham.

"I am happy with the squad with three players, Victor Moses, James McCarthy and Franco Di Santo coming back from injury.

"Their progress this month will dictate what we do while the transfer window remains open."
