Bayern Munich have been handed a boost with the news that Franck Ribery's knee injury is not as serious as first feared.
The Frenchman was stretchered off after just 17 minutes of their draw at Wolfsburg on Saturday.
Ribery was in agony with a knee injury and the club initially feared he had torn his cruciate ligaments
However, scans have shown that Ribery has only pulled a muscle in his knee and he will only be sidelined for five days.
"There is some luck in the misfortune," said Ribery, who only returned from a three-month injury break in November after damaging ankle ligaments.
"I am naturally disappointed on the one hand that I am now injured again.
"On the other hand, I am to some extent relieved that it did not turn out to be a serious injury."
