Stoke City manager Tony Pulis believes former Portsmouth midfielder Marc Wilson can become a key player.
The Potters swooped for the 23-year-old before last summer's transfer window closed in a player-plus-cash deal involving Liam Lawrence and Dave Kitson.
Wilson has been a regular for the club of late and Pulis has been thrilled with his contribution, which included a goal in their 2-0 win at Blackburn.
Pulis believes the midfielder has great potential and hopes he can continue learning and progressing in the coming seasons.
"He will eventually be a very good player for this club," Pulis said. "He has been outstanding in his last two games.
"He is getting stronger as well, mentally and physically. He is technically a very good player.
"I can see him being a very important member of the team in years to come."
