Ji-Sung Park says he fully expects Manchester United to maintain their good form in his absence.
The winger, who impressed for United towards the end of 2010, has temporarily departed the Premier League club to link up with his national side South Korea in the Asian Cup.
And the 29-year-old believes the current league leaders were 'on the right track' when he left to link up with his international colleagues.
"United were in good shape and on the right track (when I left) and now I have joined up with the national team for the Asian Cup," said Park.
"Manchester United have played three (league) matches without me, so there will be no problems without me.
"I need to focus on the Asian Cup and only when I go back will I focus on my club team."
Sir Alex Ferguson's side are currently two points clear of local rivals Manchester City at the top of the league table, with two games in hand.
