Liam Lawrence has shrugged off reports linking him with West Ham by pledging his future to Portsmouth.
The midfielder joined Pompey on loan from Stoke at the start of the season, with a view to joining the Championship side on a free transfer this month.
That deal has now gone through, with Lawrence putting pen to paper on a three-and-a-half year deal at Fratton Park, yet he has already been linked with a £4million return to the Premier League with West Ham.
However, the 29-year-old insists he is committed to helping Pompey gain some stability following relegation from the top flight last term.
"I've heard that has been going around," he told The News.
"Somebody rang me the other day and mentioned they'd read it somewhere.
"But I'm just concentrating on things at the minute - it's just paper talk I think.
"You never know, but I honestly do want to stay here and help this club to turn the corner."
