Blackburn youngster agrees permanent move after successful loan

Crystal Palace have signed young midfielder Alex Marrow from Blackburn on a permanent basis. The 19-year-old has been on loan at Selhurst Park since August, making 17 league appearances for the Championship strugglers. And Palace have seen enough for them to pay an undisclosed fee for Marrow, who has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half-year deal with the club. "I've been very impressed by Alex since I saw him in a reserve game for Blackburn and he has really shown his quality during his games in a Palace shirt," caretaker manager Dougie Freedman told the club's official website. "It is good to see him join the club permanently and I'm sure he will become an important part of our squad for some time to come." Salford-born Marrow failed to make a first-team appearance for Rovers but played in 34 games while on loan at League One Oldham last season.
