Midfielder suffers suspected broken ankle against Terrors

Aberdeen manager Craig Brown fears Yoann Folly will miss the rest of the season after suffering a suspected broken ankle. Folly was hurt during the second half of the Dons' 1-1 draw with Dundee United on Saturday and is facing a lengthy lay-off. Brown was already planning to dip into the transfer market and will now be eyeing up further reinforcements following the injury to Folly. "It is a major blow to the player and to us," said Brown. "There was already a need to bring in reinforcements even without this broken ankle. Yoann was playing very well and it is a real heartbreak for him and a major disappointment for all of us. "It doesn't alter our thinking regarding the transfer window as we needed new players in any case. "Obviously the number that we need may be added to now because we are very, very thin on the ground in terms of numbers."
