United defender impressing on loan at Carlisle

Skysports.com understands Hull City are lining up a January move for Manchester United defender James Chester. The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Carlisle United and he has impressed during the first half of the season with the League One club. He has made 23 appearances in all competitions for the Cumbrians, but is now due to return to Old Trafford. Chester has made just one substitute's appearance during his United career and could be sold by the Premier League leaders in January. Championship side Hull are thought to be considering a move to bring the promising defender to the KC Stadium when the transfer window reopens. The Tigers have already snapped up Aaron Mclean from Peterborough United and are closing to finalising a move for Leicester City striker Matty Fryatt.
