Roy Keane has confirmed Roy Carroll is currently training with Ipswich Town, but has played down talk of a deal for the goalkeeper.
Carroll is a former Manchester United team-mate of Keane's and is currently playing in Denmark for Odense.
The Northern Ireland keeper is on a winter's break from Odense and is maintaining his fitness by training with Ipswich.
However, even though Keane has lost Brian Murphy for three months due to an ankle injury, the Town boss cooled suggestions of a move for Carroll.
Keane said: "Roy Carroll has trained with us today.
"He'll be with us for a week or two, because he is on his winter's break from Denmark.
"But he's just training with us, so don't put two and two together."
